Probably get lashed for this but any crazy cats tried this is faint scratches?

After the Insiders events yesterday will be looking to sell my ZFOLD6 to fund towards the ZFOLD7, hopefully a sweet deal but no trade in.

Just worried it causes more damage, also heard toothpaste 🫣
Its only on the front screen centre, right hand side.

Yep its super duper Gorilla corning glass scratches alone in my pocket or man bag.

I remember doing this for CDs years ago....I dont recall it ever working. However, I highly doubt itll make scratches worse if applied gently- may just be a waste of product

Guessing the faint scratches are on the folding screen?

Yes there is glass, but the top layer is still plastic. So while it will probably get little scratches and imperfections on the very top plastic part, the fancy glass should hopefully protect the expensive pixels underneath it. Replacing the plastic should be a lot cheaper than getting a new display fitted.

Since toothpaste is designed to be abrasive to remove random stuff but not enough to damage teeth, it's probably enough to wear down the plastic but not enough to cause serious harm. Not something I've tried myself but that's the theory behind it. Just be careful. I'm sure it's not official samsung recommendations to use toothpaste on screens lol.

I don't think I could personally go with a folding screen, the imperfections over time would drive me crazy if it was my main phone for years.

No, the outer front screen, definitely wouldn't risk it on the main inner screen, but that is perfect.

At least the delicate screen is still good. Didn't expect the solid glass one to be the scratched one.

Please don't try baking soda or toothpaste on your phone screen lol
We have not invented self healing screens yet... maybe next year... 😅
