Z Flip brand new "crease line / distortion". Sadly this is 100% true. I am in a trial 30 days with a Z Flip I plan to buy and 3 days later see it has established a line / distortion on the screen at the folding point. I have not even had this phone outside, and hoped it was possibly an issue with the screen saver.
Against what I wanted to do, I did pull back then removed the screensaver to see if it was on that, under it, or caused by it. It was "not". This is not very noticeable in black modes at all but be there no confusion - it is there. I rebooted - power cycled - and did everything I could to refresh the screen - but it is still there.
To me it almost looks like at the fold point some of the pixels have stopped working and as a result a thin line appears.
HELP?
I will post pictures when I get some.

My Z Flip 4 is 4 weeks old and suddenly a solid black line appeared, cannot turn phone off, cannot use apps or receive/place texts.
I have a service repair ticket.
As with so many others here I have been a customer for multi-years but won't be back for this kind of service.

I'm sorry to say there really isn't any option for those of us that fall into the class of "screwed over customer".... Contact your phone provider and ask them how to proceed or for advise or shell out the cash-but I wouldn't give Samsung a penny personally after my experiences. Call your phone provider & explain this situation and never buy Samsung again. We- the hundreds/thousands of customers continue to be screwed over by Samsung because they REFUSE to back their warranty on a KNOWN ISSUE. Samsung sucks!

Your next step is determined by where you purchased the phone. Contact where you bought the phone. It is covered under warranty and you may even be able to return it for a full refund. The key here is to keep pushing for either repair, replacement, or refund. Whichever makes you happy.
In my case I got a refund and bought an Ultra S22. This is a much better phone.

Same story here. My Z Flip 4 worked fine for 9 months, and suddenly the now infamous dreaded black line across the fold, along with the top screen going stiffly frozen. Best Samsung has to offer is for me to bring it in to one of their support centers for perform diagnostics. A $999.99 phone from Samsung! I am really surprised about their quality, and highly disappointed with their service.
