For a few months my network provider, Vodafone, have been suppying rubbish network service so I tend to use WiFi calling when I can and wanted to also enable VoLTE when my data is on but its not in the settings on my Z flip 3?. . .

Can anyone advise please?

Hi, it could be something to do with your provider, as im with EE and its showing for me(s22) you possibly might have to contact them to activate it for you.

It's your network provider who you need to activate it if it's available. Not all do, I'm with O2 and I don't have it.

4g and Volte is the same thing, some call it Volte, mostly seen in the US and EE here I believe. Here in the UK it's known as 4G

I am on Vodafone and been on this network for over 20 years and they never cannot Volte

Thanks all for replying. I'll contact Vodafone because I'm 99% sure I had VoLTE on this phone previously (I've had this phone since 2021) so they should be able to add it again. Perhaps the Samsung updates changed something. I'll let you know what Vodafone say/do

4G and VoLTE aren't the same thing VoLTE is a service that uses 4G to make calls hence why it's called VoLTE (Voice over LTE) most UK networks and MVNO support this service giffgaff have a 4G network using O2 but they don't support VoLTE

Have you tried making a call to see if it stays on 4G or drips to H+? I have a EE and a Vodafone SIM and only on EE the VoLTE toggle is available but VoLTE is active on both networks Vodafone just don't allow you to toggle it on and off Three also do the same thing Screenshot_20231028_201154_Call settings.jpgScreenshot_20231028_201438_Call.jpg

I know that but didn't want to be over specific for non tech nerds

What I was trying to convey is that most phones don't have the Volte icon just the 4G

And most networks do support it just labelled as just 4G, with the withdraw of 2G and 3G they must support it or all phone in UK would stop working

Screen cap from Vodafone website, hope that helps clear it up for people who are non technical. Sorry I did try to keep it simple but seems I need to be more specific and technicalSmartSelect_20231028_202152_Firefox_1000033024_1698520912.jpg
