In an unexpected turn of events, over 800 photos taken in July and August 2024 while traveling through Europe have vanished from my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. Currently, only about 200 photos remain, some of which were taken before July and others after August. Despite extensive troubleshooting and exploring all possible recovery methods, the photos are still missing. The device experienced no system crash, system update, or malware activity, making the disappearance even more baffling.
Steps already taken:
Checked Hidden Albums
Checked trash/recycle bin in the gallery app
Checked Google Photos, Google Gallery, OneDrive, and Dropbox. as well as Archive folders
Checked Samsung Cloud Backup, gallery sync options
enabled developer mode and used FoneLab for Android to recover, and other phone recovery software on Windows.
Used File Manager app to browse to see if any cropped photos

Hello @yanz985 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋
I appreciate how cherished our photo's can be so I'm disheartened that you appear to have lost so many 😔
It does seem from the troubleshooting steps you have taken to try and recover your photo's is extensive and thorough.
Unfortunately your Samsung Cloud no longer backs up the Gallery.
I would suggest to double check everything again.
If you still cannot find your photo's in all the areas you've checked again then theirs been a catastrophic failure somehow.
I use Dropbox to auto upload every picture I take and it hasn't let me down yet.
I then keep my photo's locally in my Samsung Gallery App.
However due to my own preferences I do not use Onedrive.

Thank you, BandOfBrothers, for your guidance on the troubleshooting steps. I have gone through the suggested procedures once again and even reached out to Samsung support for further assistance. The support team accessed my phone remotely using the Samsung Tutor App, where they repeated the same troubleshooting steps. Unfortunately, the issue remains unresolved.
I inquired multiple times about the potential causes behind this issue, hoping to prevent it from recurring in the future. However, the support team was unable to provide any specific explanation or guidance on what might have led to the problem.
Please let me know if you have any further insights or recommendations to help resolve this.
