Fold 5 inner screen failed

Today my inner screen failed a dot appeared I touched it and bang big white line appeared.

My question is, the phone is still under warranty but has a few scuffs on the frame. Is it worth wasting my time to send this for warranty repair? Or will the use these marks to make it chargeable?

Hey there

Sorry to hear of your issues.

As you have scuffs on the frame (and this is just my opinion) Samsung will likely use that to refuse warranty until they are repaired.

Other posts on here suggest the tiniest mark, even those not visible to a telescope, are enough for Samsung to say no.

But I would still send it off. Make sure you take pictures and / or video of the device condition before you package it up.

I have phone insurance, just rather no waste weeks waiting for my phone to be inspected and rejected

Hi @rosszx10r 

The only way to know is to let a Samsung Service Centre have hands on and they'll assess the phone and advise accordingly.

If Samsung advjse a fee is payable then the options are to pay the fee , or check any relevant Household Contents Insurance,  or some bank accounts provide cover as a perk of the account.
