Ongoing screen issues with my Galaxy Z Flip5

Hi,

So I have already changed the front and back screen because I shut it too quickly and it caused a crack in the top corner while it was inside a Samsung case made specifically for this phone.

Now, my phone does not charge correctly, the bottom half of my front screen is flashing on and off in a yellow color.

This phone was not inexpensive, Verizon wants nothing to do with the repair of the phone but of course I can purchase a new one.

I find it hard to believe, given the cost of this phone, these issues are not warranted or that Samsung will not offer a pro rated refund for the phone. I have tried calling customer service and warranty service  but the hold times were a deterrent.

Is there any possible way we can work to resolve this? Flip Phone Screen.jpg

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

Verizon is an American company—are you based in the States? This is the UK forum. For the best and most relevant support, I suggest posting in your respective forum.

In the UK, accidental damage is not covered unless insured. You must have shut that case pretty hard for it to break the phone so badly. Assuming "I have already changed" means you got it repaired by an official Samsung repair center, not yourself? As that also voids all covers. Being in the UK I dont know american policy's but I doubt youll get money back

As johnz said, this is a uk forum so we won't know much about american things.

It looks like there's a black spot on the right of your screen near the hinge. That'll be where the damage is, since everything below it is green.

Not a software thing, folding screens are delicate and you need a replacement as it's damaged.

The case and edges of the screen also look a bit battered, you might be being too rough with your phone. Charging issues might be dirt in the port or some damage with the port itself.

Non folding phones handle wear and tear better. Maybe one of those would be a better option for you next time

Sounds like they should have replaced the ribbon cable when you got the screens replaced.
