Z Flip 3 screen question

My question is what material is under the factory installed screen protector? I have a used ZFlip 3 and it has a scuff and a dent on the screen,  the current screen feels like plastic, so I took it to an authorized Samsung repair shop to get what I thought was the factory installed screen protector replaced. They told me there was no screen protector. The scuff is like what it would feel like on plastic not glass. Thanks in advance.

The flip 3 has a screen protector on the inside screen, then the screen under the protector is made from thin glass with a plastic layer. You mentioned it is a used z flip3, it's possible that whoever owned it before you removed the inner screen protector. So probably the plastic on the screen is damaged and someone removed the original screen protector.

It will be made with a number of layers.
Glass being a part of those layers.
The top layer of the screen will be plastic and below that is the layer of glass I believe.
Personally I wouldn't risk not having a screen protector.
But understand why some don't want one.
Those screens are so expensive to replace. So my Fold 5 is keeping its one

Ugh, I thought the tech at the repair shop was lying to me but the scuff must be on the plastic layer that's under the missing factory installed screen protector. Guess I'll have to just live with the scuff. Thanks everyone
