Screen Recorder no longer records media sound in games since update

Have checked all settings and nothing works... it does record microphone if that's selected though

@JakeR: Although I appreciate that you may have checked this already, please try heading to Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recorder > Screen recorder > Sound, and make sure that this is set to 'Media and mic'. If this option is already activated, try restarting your device (Press and hold the Side key > Restart), as this will refresh your phone and address any temporary software issues that might be a contributing factor.

i also have this problem on my a52s 5g...there is 2 games that doesn't record internal audio while playing them world of tanks blitz and diablo immortal

what game are you playing? i just found that phone doesn't record internal audio of two games wold of tanks blitz and diablo immortal

Hi, I have the same problem that started about 2 updates ago. I'm on an a23 5G, and when I go to the advanced features in settings, it only shows screenshot and not screenshot and screen recorder, and all my games cant get their audio recorded after I check the video recording, though while I am recording the game footage theres audio that i hear. I record arena breakout and It only records audio if I start recording right after I start the game app. Please help

Edit: when I record non-game sounds while playing a game it only record the non-game sound and not the game audio, take Spotify as an example, if I put up a music while recording a gameplay it will only audio record the music not the game audio.

I have a work-around I am now using in case anyone is interested...
I now cast my phone to my PC with Phone Link and record the game on my PC with OBS Studio
It is not an ideal solution but it works for now until this is fixed properly

I have the same problem. I do not use my mic, only Media sounds. I did all the troubleshootings but there is still no audio when I Screen Record. What now?
