Double check all your relevant settings @simesmith and if this issue continues then consider trying these generic troubleshooting steps please.

  • Soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On.
  • Ensure all your apps are updated in your Playstore and Galaxy Store.
  • Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.
  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
  • Back up and Factory Reset as a very last resort.

If the above fails to resolve then If you perform a forum search you should find existing threads with some further help within.

Also there is the option to send feedback to Samsung via your Samsung Members App.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

@simesmith: If the problem persists following the steps provided above, please head to Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb, and check to see if this feature is scheduled to activate at a certain time, and if it corresponds with the issue you're experiencing.

You can also head to Settings > Modes and Routines, and check if any routines are set up which might mute your device under certain conditions.
