Phone shuts down when I open up the front on galaxy flip 3

When I open up galaxy flip 3, phone shuts down and I have to turn it back on.  Does anyone know a fix for this

@cmas166: For clarity, is your Z Flip3 powering off completely, or is the screen turning off/going idle? 

To troubleshoot the issue, please try restarting the device in Safe Mode, as this will disable all third party apps and help to determine if the issue is stemming from an external source. To enter Safe Mode, press and hold the Power button until the 'Power off' prompt appears on the screen then release > Touch and hold Power off until the 'Safe mode' prompt appears then release > To confirm, tap Safe mode.

Monitor the performance of the device for a while, depending on the frequency of the issue, and if you notice an improvement then please restart the phone as you would normally, and uninstall any recently added apps.

Actually turning off completely, so have to turn on again, doesn't do it on changing, but will try safe mode and see how it goes.
