Hello @rp20000 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk and Eu Members 👋

Here is some Samsung Support Links > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-update-latest-software-for-your-galaxy-mobi...

And

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-troubleshoot-software-update-issues.

I assume you have enough internal storage capacity left in the phone 🤔

Updates are sent out in waves which are dependent on the region a person reskdes in, the phone model eligibility, and via build and serial number of the phone.

Another route to update involves using a computer and Samsung SmartSwitch. { Please see the link above ^ }

Other ways that may instigate a softwate update is to remove the sim card and reinsert.

Another is to use another networks sim card in the phone.

Try updating the phone in Safe Mode.

How to put the phone in Safe Mode >

Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.

Sometimes if a phone is supplied directly via a Network, then this can have an impact on updates because some networks stop the phone from updating to give them time to test the update , so to ensure it does not clash with their network apps and services.

If a phone is a grey market model i.e sold by a reseller that's really meant for another region then this can have an impact on it's update cycle.

The same if a phone has been imported.

Can you confirm what the phone's SoC [ System On Chip ] is by going into the About Phone settings, and then software information, and look at the three alphabetical letters are at the end of the section of Service Provider Software Version.

Mine is EUX.

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

A Samsung Service Centre  / Samsung Experience Store maybe able to help.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
