Notifications on Samsung Z Flip 5

Hi, just upgraded from Samsung S22 to a Flip 5, and I have noticed that when I get a notification it does not show on the Cover Screen as the notification comes in. 

As a Deaf person, I use the light up screen notifications to alert me. Flip 5 does not have this feature fully.

Maybe you can implement this feature in the next Android 15 OS. I should not have too add the camera flash as a notification.

Notification Suggestions for Cover Screen :

as added options; 

1) Emulate main screen on the Cover Screen.

2) Screen time out, should be set to 5 minutes maximum.

Make sure your lockscreen notifications are not set to Hide content as this will also prevent them showing on cover screen.

Settings>notifications >lock screen notifications. Toggle on Show content and also use the cog wheel to select the specific apps you want to see notifications from.

I presume you have cover screen notifications turned on too?
Settings>Cover screen. Ensure Show notifications is toggled on.

Thanks. Sorry, can we just be sure here. Are you saying you DON'T receive any notifications on your cover screen at all? Not even a red dot in the corner?

I get the swipe right notifications. But no light up incoming notifications.

You should be seeing a red dot by default for any unread notifications. Are you not seeing this? Have you got any 3rd party customisations going on?

Yes, I can either have red dot or icons for unread messages/notifications. I chose icons. And no 3rd party customisations!

So you're just looking for something that offers a lighting effect (akin to edge lighting). Agreed, the flip 5 is quite limited in that respect. You would be better to send your initial request as feedback via the Samsung Members app.

There may be a 3rd party app that might work, such as True Edge, available from Google Play Store
