Not sure if this is a Verizon issue or a Samsung issue:
Installed the newest update from Verizon (39)- Release date: 08/12/2024
Android™ Security Patch Level: August 2024
Software Version: UP1A.231005.007.F711USQS8IXG6
Phone now non-stop overheats and battery drain is insane. Any app usage causes the system to overheat. and shut down. Getting false battery charge readings as well, meaning while the phone is off right now im getting a 66% battery charge reading, but the phone was plugged in before and on and it was stuck at 10% battery for around 20 minutes. If i unplug the phone from charging, it will show up as a dead battery and be unable to start.
I'll get the Charging Slowed due to temp warning and won't be able to open apps due to the temps, even basic ones like phone contacts.
Cleared Cache from Bootloader. Next steps are to try and flash an older version and see if the issue is replicated there, just curious is anyone else is having these issues and if there is a fix for it?
Or is this phone basically bricked?

Maybe it’s worth trying a factory reset on the phone. This process will erase all data and restore the phone to its original settings, which might help resolve various issues. Before doing this, make sure you’ve backed up all important data, as it will be deleted during the reset.
