Notification sounds but no notification

Recently i have been hearing sounds on my phone like i have received messages but when i check the notification centre nothing is there. Any ideas why this might be ?

I'm having the same issue! Driving me insane! Didn't start until the most recent update at the end of last week. Same stupid garbage with the ghost vibrations with my Samsung 6 watch that they can't fix but of course the new 7 doesn't have the issue. Shocker!

I can confirm that the problem is the "notification reminders" option which seems to default to resending the reminder every 3 minutes for phone and SMS messages. That's a terrible default, but also it doesn't respect you turning off sounds or indeed notifications either, nor does it give Nice Catch an understandable explanation of what's going on. Fix this Samsung! Anyway, turn that off and you're good.

The same phantom notification is happening with my new S25 Ultra! Pretty annoying and it only started about 4 days ago. The phone was fine during the first 3 weeks and then suddenly they started....every 3 mins even when turning off all notifications for testing! This is a software glitch.The fix provided on this thread is not a fix because it stops the use of a feature that Samsung added for a reason!

I am using a "Smart view wallet" case which comes with a credit-card holder. The NFC reads my CC when I flip the cover completely to the back of my phone, causing my phone to beep from time to time without getting any notification. Took me a while to figure this out.
