Hi,
For some reason I have some apps that have notifications blocked and it is grayed out meaning I can't allow notifications. I've noticed it on a couple of apps, one being Action Launcher. I've looked in every possible setting I can think of both for the phone and the app but nothing works. I tried uninstall ingredients the app but it was the same. Even changing to a different launcher didn't work. Anybody any ideas on what else to try?

Thanks

Hey @TheObserver.

Here are a few steps that you can try:

  1. Force stop the apps that you’re having this issue with. Open Settings > Apps > Select the sort by icon next to 'Your apps' > Select the switch next to 'Show system apps' and then select OK > Select the app > Force stop.
  2. Clear the cache of the apps. Open Settings > Apps > Select the sort by icon next to 'Your apps' > Select the switch next to 'Show system apps' and then select OK > Select the app > Storage > Clear cache.
  3. Start the phone in Safe Mode following the steps on this page: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/

Hi. I tried what you suggested but I'm still not able to activate notifications for Action Launcher. Notifications are switched on in the app itself. I also checked on a couple of other devices and it's the same. Would this mean it is more on the app than Samsung software?

@TheObserver: Please can you confirm the model number and current Android version of the device you're using (located in Settings > About phone). I have been unable to find Action Launcher on a Galaxy device running Android 15 / One UI 7, however if Notifications are greyed out in Settings > Apps, then this does typically mean that their inclusion or restriction is an embedded feature of the software.

All 3 devices are running Android 15 OneUI 7. Model number for one is SM-F956B/DS.

This app doesn't appear to be available in the Apps section within the Settings menu on a device that we have (running Android 15, One UI 7.0). Please send us a screenshot of this app, showing the greyed-out settings.

Here it is. I have a theme on my devices but I've also tried it without any theme with the same results. 1751446097394.jpg

Thank you for sending the screenshot. This does seem to be a third-party app, and it may be that the in-app settings may not allow you to set or enable notifications. Please reach out to the app provider for further support.
