Muffled mic on specific apps

My mic works fine in general, like in my voice recording app etc. But on specific apps like WhatsApp or Snapchat, when I send voice notes they sometimes sound muffled. It's not all the voice notes, sometimes iits one after the other so if I send 10 voice notes consecutively, 5 of them would be muffled. 

I've cleaned my mic, I've put my phone in rice because I was out in the rain once and feared something could happen to my speakers and mic. Is there any solution?

@hello1209: When you make a recording, are the conditions the same each time? For instance, do you hold the phone, or rest it on a surface nearby? If you have a case or cover on the phone, can you try removing it to see if this helps to produce more consistent results? 

In the meantime, please head to the Samsung Members app > Press and hold on the app icons > Diagnostics > Mic, and follow the on-screen prompts. Does your voice sound muffled during the playback?

I have the same issue also on my note 10+, WhatsApp and Snapchat, the mics sounds muffled, but when I record a video on the camera app or sound recorder, it's crystal clear.

How do I fix please????!

What I found out this has nothing to do with the microphone. Its all about the voice changer. You have to turn off voice changer.

Hey, could you explain what it is about the voice changer, where and how do I change that? I have the same problem as the OP, all my voice notes in WhatsApp sound muffled always, but in the Samsung app, it's great.
