Hi @omoijebu

Yes on my Samsung Fold³ the factory fitted screen protector delaminated along the Fold line too.

Personally I chose to carefully peel the plastic screen protector off and use it without one which does not invalidate the warranty on the Fold or Flip³ however the caveat is that if the screen is damaged in the act of removing it then this can invalidate the warranty.

Other options are to use a Samsung Service Centre to ask them to fit a new one or screen protectors can be purchased from accessory manufacturers such as Whitestone Dome as one option.

I appreciate that the phone's screen display is softer than a usual phone's display so a screen protector is a wanted application.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

If the protector from factory is lifting, DO NOT REMOVE. this will cause the LCD to crack along center after a few folds.
If device is still under warranty get it booked in with Samsung. They can replace protector/screen under warranty if there is no damage to device itself.

Anyone else being shafted by Samsung? Both of my Fold 4 phones have screens where the film has lifted. A scratch on the bottom of one phone, that is honestly nowhere near the lifting was enough for them to invalidate the warranty. Both phones under a year old. I am SO disappointed. It surely cat just be me?

What if the warranty ran out a few weeks ago?

There is no Samsung store around to go in & to ask

I have Galaxy Z Flip 4. Protective screen is lifting along fold, about 1 cm in from RHS looks naff. I bought it last August, 2022. Have a recollection that screen guaranteed for 24mths? Any thoughts?

Yup, pretty annoying. It makes a crackling noise (like the screen is breaking) when you fold the phone closed. Reading this thread implies removing the protector will cause the original screen to crack along the fold almost immediately but reality does not bear this out, in fact the screen protector was only lifting AT the fold which means removing the protector should have NO affect. So far so good BUT you need to be VERY careful removing the protector. I just folded my phone a few times in a row to increase the air pocket under the protector then used a sharp-tipped plastic dental floss tool to sneak under the protector at the fold and slowly slide it up to the top of the display where I could grab it by hand and SLOWLY peel the entire protector away from the display. This left a slightly sticky feel to the glass screen which I was able to wipe clean with a dab of rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth. I've had my gen-3 since August of 2021 and the screen protector has been the only issue so far.

I have a Zflip 4 and the screen protector lifted and bubbled along the fold line after less than 6 months. This is clearly a design fault but was repaired by a Samsung repair centre as it was under warranty so there was no charge. Fast forward another 7 months and ghe same thing has happened so sent to the repair centre again but this time the phone is out of warranty so they have claimed the screen is damaged due to impact (its exactly the same issue as before) and they wanted to charge me £249 to fix it!!!🤯😱. There has been absolutely no impact to my phone and this is clearly a design fault they don't want to hold their hands up to??
I asked them to return my phone without the repair and will be trading in for an iPhone. Feel totally ripped off
