Galaxy z flip 5 broken in less than 3 weeks

I am absolutely furious writing this post, I have had my brand new Galaxy Z flip 5 for less than 3 weeks. I open my phone this morning and there is  a black line along the crease line and the internal screen is not working at all!  The phone has not been dropped, I have been gentle when folding it, I have treated it like a precious child because I loved it so much, and yet this has still happened!  How are they able to sell something as faulty as that? It should not be allowed! I have googled it since and it seems so many people have the same issue. Luckily I am within 30 days of when I purchased the phone, so I can exchange it, but i feel for people outside of that timeline. IT IS NOT OK SAMSUNG! I am disappointed because I really loved the flip phone, but it is not worth the hassle. I will be exchanging for a non flip phone, a part of me feels to change away from Samsung too because it is just not acceptable! Has anyone else experienced that?

I totally understand and appreciate that it is frustrating and inconvenient when a phone fails @Members_gZ41Dl6 

That said tech can and will fail at times and it's quite possible you ended up with what's known as a ' lemon ' , which is where the phone has major issues out of the box. 

Samsung do have quality control testing in place, but it is feasible that the odd unit can get through this unfortunately and or fail after powering up and using the phone. 

As you have stated your within the relevant cooling off period, so Yes please do as you intend, and have the phone swapped out. 

What we see here on this and other forums are owners signing up to vent ,and share their negative thoughts and experiences with their phone. 

It's not as regular for people who are really happy with their phone to sign up to a forum and share their positive thoughts.
