Known issue with flex cables for the Wi-Fi found behind the big inner screen. Samsung will not accept responsibility for this issue as although the flex cable can be picked up for around £15 the inner foldable screen has to be removed to access it. Because of the strong glue used the screen more often than not gets damaged when being removed. You can risk getting a local phone repair store to perform the fix which will void the warranty, however Samsung pretty much always claim that warranty has already been voided as the issue is caused by use of the handset -.-… general use it was designed for but apparently that voids the warranty. So as the warranty is already voided I will go to a local repair store who quote between £70 - £100 to attempt the repair. I wouldn’t advise trying this yourself after watching how difficult this phone is to get into in tear down videos. But if you are like me who has no damage to the screen at all, would you risk asking the local store and a likely outcome of more damage being caused? Or maybe I’m one of the fortunate ones? I would just use mobile data, but my area is pretty bad so Wi-Fi is a must for me.
But how Samsung can have the nerve to ignore this issue which is because of their design flaw is just absolutely ridiculous. And this will be the LAST Samsung phone I will EVER buy. In fact, last Samsung product, I have always had Samsung TV’s… needless to say my next one will be LG. Believe me Samsung that in the long run has cost you WAY more than the £604 I was quoted to repair in the future

My Z Fold 3 has also lost Wi-Fi. Never dropped; screen protectors on both sides and never used the stylus.
Is there any legal action in the UK, or a UK resident can join, as it's an absolute disgrace. Samsung have a known design fault. They are aware the fix is a $15 cable but charge for a new screen as they will need to break it to access the cable!!
I am absolutely fuming. We spent £3000 on these phones and now out of warranty.

I have been told that there is a thin cable connecting the two sides of the screen. As we open and close our phone, the hinge cuts the cable.
some people have had some success by keeping their phone closed. This is short-lived and did not work for me. The two pieces of cable did not reconnect.
To fix this, and replace the really cheap cable involves removing the screen, which will break it - hence Samsung saying you will need a new screen.
Annoyingly, if you were to pay around £600 for the repair - which is actually a design fault, there is nothing to stop this happening again and again.
interestingly enough, I spoke with EE last week, Samsung are now offering one free screen replacement on the Z Fold 5. I think word has gone around about this issue.
My wife bought a Z Fold 3 at the same time as me, she has never used it. She did offer it to me but I don't want it to happen again.
samsung are terrible. Temporarily using my iPhone again but miss Android over iOS. I am now looking at the Google phones.
In the meantime, I have two £1500 paperweights, one never used and the other has no Wi-Fi.
Sorry it isn't better news.

Yes, I faced the same problem. I sent it for checking at samsung service centre at the Mines. I was told that the whole screen need to be replaced bacause it is spoilt. Wooow it cost me what? You can buy another phone samasung..but I decided just repair..ordered spare parts and I am waiting for the parts..once available I have to go back to the centre again. Well,if the wifi works after its reapair, I would be happy..well, let see..will share with you later.. thank you.
