Hi

I recently had my phone repaired by Samsung due to some issues with the phone not turning on.  The phone now appears to be fixed, but it will not recogise that there are any newer updates since May 2024.

My wife has the same phone and has been getting updates in that time, and she was able to install the August 24 update just a few days ago.

Has anyone else seen this issue?  My phone has plenty of space and I have tried wiping the system cache, restarting in safe mode, but nothing appears to work.

Thanks

Neil

Perhaps try Samsung SmartSwitch @Stumped

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-update-latest-software-for-your-galaxy-mobi...

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Hi Neil, and welcome to the UK community

You both have the same handset, however, do you both use the same mobile network provider? Were both phones purchased new from the same retailer? Any obvious differences we should know about?

Plug into a PC or laptop and try checking for an update via Smartswitch.

Thanks for getting in touch. I've tried the Smart Switch with a PC and it still doesn't see the update. Thanks

Thanks for getting in touch. My wife's phone is the 128gb,and mine is 256gb. Both are unlocked and use the same network provider. One was purchased from BT and the other from AO.

I've tried Smart Switch and no update pops up.
Thanks

Thanks. Are you with Vodafone by any chance. Was your repair carried out by an authorised Samsung repair centre?

I'm with 1pmobile, which uses EE. The repair was carried out by the authorised Samsung repair centre at Liverpool One.

Thanks. Have you tried downloading the security updates via wifi?

I've tried both WiFi and Mobile Data, but it still states "your software is up to date"

Thanks. Could be your carrier. Even though your phone is scheduled to receive monthly security updates, your carrier may only support quarterly updates. I'd contact them and ask.
