FAULTY FOLD 4, BLANK SCREEN ON OPENING THE FOLD

Dear Samsung,

I stay in Egypt bought  a fold 4 from Dubai, was using happily with minor snags until yesterday. Suddenly the phone goes blank after a few minutes the front small screen starts working but if f i open the fold or if i unfold it again the front screen goes blank and middle is already blank. I saw a video of trying to restart the phone by pressing the low volume button and the start button for 20 seconds. Doing that the phone starts and even when unfolded the phone works but for a short while, then with a hissing sound stops. Am getting a serious software error and to reload the software. While on going to a Samsung service shop i am promptly told to change the internal display for a cost of around 600 USD. 

I am really disappointed in Samsung, i need to buy a new phone to repair this old phone because i cant do without a phone ?? Why make faulty phones ??  Why spoil your reputation ??

So agree with your statement! My phone is only 18 months old and already giving issues.If Samsung cannot make good, lasting phones in such a super expensive category of phone it is really disappointing! I called the call centre and they said they will call back because the load was high.....BUT NO CALL BACK AT ALL!!

Thanks for sharing the issue with your FoldZ4. 

On 9 July 24, I experienced the exact issue and the fordable screen is no stopped working. I note that I started experiencing this issue straight after software upgrade.

Mine screen also gone z4 fold and it's under guarantee warranty and now samsung saying we are not covering this now we all family changing to apple phones and next generation too very bad experiences with samsung

Phone auto updated this morning at 8am and when I went to use  it at 9, black screen when I unfolded it.  Can't back up the update per Samsung policy because of security.  I still own 700 with carrier. This is insane.  You destroy my phone with the update and I can't afford another Fold but don't want any thing else.

Contact Samsung for location to take it in for calibration. The magnet near the camera is out of location and needs to be calibrated by a licensed tech.

(By the way, I found out that my $1,000 phone is now worth $87! And since Z-Flip 6 is soon to be released this z-flip 4 phone is basically obsolete.)

Same, had a Z fold 4 for 21 months. Middle screen failed and Samsung refused to repair due to a small scratch on the hinge. I am taking them to small claims court under the consumer rights act. 

Wish me luck.

I agree i bought the z fold 4 brand new 2 years ago had to take it into repair 4 times within the two years due to blank screen issues.  Phone is in immaculate condition yet just after 2 year Warrenty screen has failed again plus no Bluetooth or WiFi.  Yet no longer covered by warrenty.   Samsung were and are selling products they know they have issues with and getting away with it.

I paid 400euro to repair my main screen fold 4, and then after 8month the front screen is green screen..

Samsung,  you rob customer...garbage product

Why is Samsung z fold 4 always going blank whenever I unfold, I wish someone told me this before buying it, this is a waste of money, am never using Samsung again in my life
