Display damaged (UPDATE: then repaired)

I own a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. Today, I experienced a malfunction with the device's hinge, subsequently resulting in a black screen on the inner display with intermittent vertical bars of white, red, and green light. Due to prior commitments over the next few days, I require information regarding troubleshooting this issue and whether a Samsung service center will provide a complimentary repair, given that I do not possess a Samsung Care+ subscription.

Hello @dhillondon_ and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk and Eu Members 👋 

Samsung apply a 2 year manufacturer's warranty. { This is advice given as a UK resident so please check your own regions WarrantyT&C's }

This warranty does not cover accidental damage. 

However if your phone shows no sign of accidental damage then please let a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre assess your phone to advise on it's repair.

If there is any signs of other accidental damage then it's likely they'll charge a fee to bring the phone back to warranty standards. 

Other insurance options maybe available such as Home Contents Insurance ,and or some Bank Accounts provide cover as a perk of the account.

I am delighted to share with the Samsung community and family that the inner display of my Samsung Fold 6, which had been damaged, was repaired free of charge by the Samsung service center. They replaced the inner display, side panel/frame, and battery. Thank you, Samsung, and to everyone who assisted me.

All too often we read of the negative experiences as most wouldn't sign up to a forum to share their positive experiences.

@dhillondon_ did they replace the bits due to being within their 24 months warranty? Mine has the same issues (Fold4) but is outside the warranty so I suspect they'll charge which will be quite a bit
