Enough is enough.
Despite what Samsung says in response to user complaints, the crease/crack along the fold of our Flips and Fold phones ARE a common problem irrespective of whether occuring within the 1st year of ownership or shortly thereafter.
Let's call it what it really is: A component defect.
It's very disappointing, irresponsible and dodgy of Samsung to deem the issue as 'user damage' to evade accountability and foist hefty repair costs upon the user.
How many of you flip/fold owners have worn the burdensome frustration and inconvenience of having your phone fixed in the early days of ownership? How many of you have felt you've had no choice but to pay for Samsung for the repair, or, write off the cost of your phone entirely and buy a new more reliable phone to replace it??
The crease/crack in my phone appeared out of the blue through absolutely no fault of my own. I know I am not the only one. Laying the blame at my feet is utter rubbish.
At the very least, a smart phone should endure 3 years of good use. Not 2 weeks, 6 months or 1.5 years.
Even if Samsung says that the phone was broken because of ‘user damage’, one must look at the structural integrity of the phone itself and question how it could so easily be damaged by users so early on in the phone’s life.
For those of you out of pocket for a repair and/or the cost of an unusable phone plus a new one, let's band together and launch a worldwide class action lawsuit against Samsung for this issue and get our money back.
Who's with me?
I know they've been other community members who've complained or mentioning class actions elsewhere within the community (I among them) so i think it's time.
Enough really is enough.
Please respond here and to any other post regarding class actions on this website and elsewhere to further this cause.

No. That isn't how that works. It is a reoccurring issue. It is a lemon.

I got the Samsung galaxy zfold 4 for Christmas December 2022 on a 2 year plan. In October 2023 I noticed the inside screen had a black line down the middle and wasn't working. The phone was still under warranty until December 2024. So I paid $650 dollars for a replacement in which I had to send in my broken phone within 10 days of recieving the new replacement phone. It's now may 2024- and now I'm experiencing the same black line except it's huge and if I try to open up the phone I can hear the glass crunching and cracking. The front screen still works- but the phone does heat up pretty quickly. Other than the inside screen there is no other damage. When I reached out to samsung they offered no other solution other than to buy a new phone- even though I'm technically still under warranty until December 2024.

Thats such baloney! I own several Sammy products, and have had their Note line since the 1st one sided curved edge....up until now, I've been satisfied with their products...it obvious the Fold and probably flip series are the failures..either they really didn't test them properly for longevity, or they are using inferior inner screen protectors over time of folding countless times. I got fortunate -I got mine at a big box store...and I had a 2 yr warranty..so I got store credit and now have the fold 5...again with a 2yr warranty. If it happens again withing that 2yrs, I will change again. Otherwise 60 bucks without the Samsung care+ just to replace the inner screen, which will fail again. They NEED to at least make that replacement for minimum 18 months because started around 16 months of ownership. They should be ashamed give the cost of these phones to have so many screen failures. Keep fighting..the more that jump on the band wagon, the better.

My Galaxy Z Fold 5 inner screen broke at 4 weeks of ownership. I was charged for the screen replacement because I had not purchased the Care+ insurance yet. I witnessed the UBreakItIFix store in Exton PA introduce a very small particle to the corner of the inner screen then close the phone on it, that is how I was forced to pay for the new $635 inner screen myself after only 4 weeks of ownership then out of precaution, I bought the $250 premium care+ insurance because a different UBreakItIFix it store (that I paid to replace the inner screen) told me that they see Fold phones to replace the inner screen almost daily. I want to join a class action lawsuit against Samsung for Samsung knowingly selling defective Fold Phones.

Within the first year they shouldn't ask you for a penny. How Samsung has fallen.

I am SO disappointed that they KNOW the 3 has a defect and made the 4 with a replacable screen so that we do not have to keep sending it back! I had it replaced but now that the warrenty is over, I SHOULD NOT have to PAY to use my insurance EVERY 7 months OR pay to upgrade. I JUST told them how would they feel if they kept getting a fully engine relaced with the SAME ENGINE and then being told the Warrenty ended after it is paid off and now you need to pay to get the same ***** engine OR buy an brand new one if you don't enjoy their defective one. I think the news, bbb and lawyers need to be involved. I'm down for a class action lawsuit. ***************** If there is one. Thanks
