Missing videos and photos in my gallery, files, trash, google photos, and SD card

I desperately want to know what happened to my videos. I recorded them on June 10th it is June 16th now, they were here on June 13th. They've been missing and I've looked in my gallery, my files, SD card, trash, and my Google photos. My more recent photos have also been going missing but not as bad.. I am sobbing over this because I can't find them anywhere. I only have one video and photos from the concert now, I have screenshots from my videos. Can anyone help?

Hi @LeCoston5342   That is unfortunate.  Do you have syncronisation with One Drive set up or photos/videos backed up to a cloud service like Dropbox  or local storage.   I would recommend backing up all files elsewhere  cannot really take the chance.  ideally backed up to a few places is a recommended choice.   some information here https://www.androidauthority.com/best-photo-backup-apps-android- 

However if you cannot locate anywhere you might be able to recover using Data Recovery software,I cannot recommend any one myself though as have not needed this option but you see some information here https://geekflare.com/android-data-recovery/

I would suggest just manually go to Google photos to back up photos and videos you need saved. Sometimes if left on automatic files just get backlogged. Double check your Google photos backup settings for future.

Also I would suggest to download a video gallery app sometime it's hard to find videos when you've had a lot of photos taken.

Hi, @LeCoston5342. I know how important it is to be able to access these important photos and videos. I'm at a loss to explain how they're not currently accessible to you.

Just so I have a better idea about what might have happened, were the data stored on your phone's Internal Storage or on the SD card?
