My phone syncs to OneDrive and Google Photos simultaneously as I don't trust either of them. And I just got proven why I don't trust OneDrive...all my photos on my gallery are gone bar a few.

Over 200 photos of my new york trip gone, with only two photos left. Checked my OneDrive, gone too. Thankfully, Google Drive had them saved but had deleted a few of my Turkey trip photos - I recovered them.

How do I get my photos back onto my gallery from OneDrive and also, what the hell???? Luckily, I print out a lot of my photos but now I have a serious issue with Microsoft and Samsung.

Hello 👋 @SkyeByersRoss and Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum.

Personally I use Google photos without issue.

Have a look at

https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/find-lost-or-missing-files-in-onedrive-  and https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/why-are-some-of-my-photos-missing-from-my-one...

Google Search

If your photos have disappeared from OneDrive, the most likely explanation is that they were accidentally deleted and are now in the OneDrive Recycle Bin; you can check there to restore them, but be aware that deleted items are only kept for 30 days for personal accounts.

How to check and recover deleted photos from OneDrive:
  • Access the OneDrive website: Log in to your OneDrive account on the web.
  • Go to the Recycle Bin: Look for the "Recycle Bin" option in the left-hand navigation panel.
  • Find your missing photos: Browse through the items in the Recycle Bin to locate the photos you want to restore.
  • Restore the photos: Select the photos you want to recover and click "Restore".

Other reasons your photos might be missing:
  • Incorrect folder syncing:
Double-check that the folder containing your photos is selected for syncing on your device.

  • Storage limits:
If you're nearing your OneDrive storage limit, older files might be automatically removed.

  • Accidental deletion on another device:
If you recently deleted photos on a different device linked to your OneDrive, they might be missing.

  • Technical issues:
Occasionally, temporary glitches can cause files to appear missing.

What to do if you can't find your photos in the Recycle Bin:
  • Check your local device storage: Verify if the photos are still present on your computer or mobile device.

  • Contact Microsoft support: If you suspect a system error or cannot find your photos after checking all possible locations, reach out to Microsoft customer support for further assistance.
