Wireless Charging S25 Ultra

Has anyone tried wireless charging their S25 Ultra yet? 

Have myself a 15w fast wireless charger I have been using for MANY years with my S23 Ultra but my S25 wont charge, it shows charging but disconnects and reconnects continuously. With or without the Samsung case. 

Are these limited to QI2 only? Is the phone faulty or the software an issue?

Not against replacing the charger but if its going to be the same, what about QI1 wireless cars etc...

I use wireless charging only and it works a treat.
The charger is have is a Samsung one. It's probably Qi1 as its quite old.
Though I have turned off fast wireless charging on my phone. Don't know if that makes a difference.
Guess it could be the charger with yours. Though not sure why that would make a difference.
Maybe if you have a friend that you can try with their charger and see if it does the same

Yes I did try turning off fast wireless charging however no better! I have a genuine wireless charger at home I'll give that ago I guess..

Searching the forums seems the s24 ultra had a similar issue at launch last year

@DanielJLMiller: The S25 Ultra supports Qi2 wireless charging up to 15W, and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0. I'm not sure of the specifications of your current 15W charger, but I hope this helps.

Looks like the S25 Ultra might only support Qi2 for wireless charging. Your old 15w charger might not work right since it’s probably not Qi2-compatible. The problem could be with the charger or the phone not working well with Qi1. You should try a Qi2 charger to see if that fixes it.

Wrong. The s25u is also backwards compatible for any Qi-enabled wireless charger so you can charge wirelessly, but it might be at standard speeds if the charger isn't fast charge compatible.

The wireless charging is strange. I have had a Samsung wireless charger duo with quick charge 2.0 for years. I bought a Ugreen QI2 certified charger and it charges the S25 Ultra slower than the wireless duo. No idea why. Even tried buying a 100 watt plug and it was still slower. Read a post on another forum saying that it may be optimised better for Samsung chargers than 3rd party chargers. Samsung charger should work best and QI technology is supposed to be backwards compatible.

I think the charger must have the fast charging option for it to fast charge the phone wireless 15w.

The Ugreen one was QI2 certified for 15w. Still slower than old charger.

Have you tried that charger with the samsung usb wall adapter?
