Slow charging

I understand that while fast charging is advertised to fully charge the S25 Ultra in 57 minutes, mine takes approximately 90-100 minutes and it also shows super fast charger 2.0 connected. I've observed a consistent charging rate of 10% per 10 minutes, resulting in a full charge time of 90-100 minutes. I am using the original Samsung 45W charger and 5A cable. Is anybody else is experiencing a similar issue?

Hi and welcome.

I believe I get around just over an hour from 15%, and I use the 25watts. Chargers

I'm more of an overnight Charger, so I'm not really bothered.

I believe the phone super charges up to 60%_70% within the half hour and then will slow charge to protect the battery.

For me, it's a whole day phone as I don't use much at work and come home with 70%-60% in the evening.

Also, to add, it might depend on the cable as well

I guess everyone will have a different experience.

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community!

To me- that seems like a normal charge time. As been mentioned above how the charging system works

Nope, nothing like I've observed. Typically you'll be able to charge from 0 to 80% in about 40 minutes using 45W charging on the S25 Ultra. If you're seeing a steady 10%/10min it means you're not getting the full charging rate, or your phone has some strange battery calibration that doesn't conform to any of the usual charging speeds I've experienced with Samsung in over 7 years.

A few things to note, charging speeds are heavily affected by temperature, both at the brick and the device. So if one or the other is running hot (or very cold) the charging rate will be affected, regardless of 45W charging speed (you won't get 45W past 30% battery anyway).

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

What settings do you have toggled on in:

Battery
Charging Settings

I have mine set as per the image here. Takes just over an hour to charge from say 10% to full 1746357214460.jpg

As you said that s25 ultra charges 0-80% in around 40 minutes but my phone always takes around 80-85 minutes to get from 0-80%. My room is also normal its neither too hot neither too cold. What should i do now?

If this is the case, you can either use a fan to cool the charger or phone, but optimally the S25 Ultra should take a little over an hour for 100% charge. If you find 45W getting too hot, try using a 25W charger instead. You may even find a better charge speed for 100%. Don't get caught up between Samsung's 45W and 25W charge speeds as on average they tend to fully charge a phone about the same time. My S21 Ultra which doesn't support 45W charging speed, but still has a 5000mah battery charges to 100% in under an hour. The major advantage 45W brings for Samsung devices mostly is from 0 to ~80% charge range or when charging their tablets, like the S8 Ultra.
