Hi. Does anyone know if Samsung has any plans to bring Q-Symphony to the HW-Q90R? Samsung have merged last years Q90/Q80 models into this years offering to create a massive line up of 14 different offerings for soundbars from what I have read on tech radar. Hi. Has anyone had any issues with there being a gap between the edge of the screen and the metal edge? Had two Q905TS with the exact same issue now on the lower left side. Terrible quality control by Samsung. The gap is so bad that light escapes through it so looks ridiculous when trying to watch TV. When you pay for a premium product you don't expect this. Thanks

Thanks for the response. Interesting that you are already in it and not getting an upgrade. I thought it would be on hold due to Covid however if I was already in it and didn't get an upgrade when I was due one I would not be pleased. Unfortunately I have needed a new TV since January and couldn't wait anymore so bought an 8K model with a cashback offer.

Hi Is there any news on when the TV Upgrade Program will restart? Website says coming later this year but has been saying that since January. Samsung support claim it is available but is not an option when checking out. If they have ended it they should let people know.

An hour on hold to speak to someone who then hung up the phone because she clearly didn't know what she was doing. Samsungs customer support really is awful.

I'm sure they might be if you can actually get in touch with them. Been on hold for an hour now when it said it was a 5 minute wait. On a separate issue why does the Samsung UK support section have a different software version for this soundbar to the Samsung US and Australia support pages. 1007.9 on UK and 1008.0 on others.

Hi I have just purchased an Q90R soundbar and I'm having some initial set up problems and was wondering if anyone had experienced any of the same issues. I have connected sound bar directly to TV (Q7 2017 model) and Sky Q 2TB and Xbox One X in HDMI 1 and 2. From what I have read this seems to be the best option to avoid lip sync issues. I haven't experienced any lip sync issues that others have mentioned. I assume that this is because I have connected the speaker directly to the TV then my devices to the speaker. I have set the sound to surround mode but appeared to be getting very little or no volume from rear speakers when watching TV. I was watching Premier League in UHD and didn't appear to be getting any sound from rear speakers. I downloaded Saving Private Ryan from sky movies which is UHD and Atmos and while I did notice a little more sound than football didn't think it was as it should be. I have now adjusted the rear speakers to +6 in the settings and this has certainly made a difference for Saving Private Ryan. In my TV sound settings I have HDMI Input Audio Format set to Bitstream and Digital Output Audio Format set to Dolby Digital. For some reason the Dolby Digital + is greyed out. Any opinions on best settings and connections would be appreciated. Very disappointed with the instruction manual that came with TV and was hoping for a YouTube video showing best set up but haven't been able to find one. There is a setting on the soundbar that says virtual. Does anyone have this on? I have noticed that I don't seem to be able to update rear speaker firmware. I followed the instructions to do this and the Sub light blinked red as it said it would but the rear speakers didn't. Also it said it would take 10 minutes which was more like 1. When I try to do it again the update message flashes for a split second then disappears and the speaker just continues to operate. Does anyone know if this just means that the firmware is already up to date or could this be a fault? The final thing I haven't managed to get working is the universal remote. When I first set it up it let me access the Sky guide button when pressing the home button on the universal remote but then i noticed it wouldn't change the volume. So I set it up again to get volume working which it does now but guide button disappeared. All it does now when pressing the home button is display about 10 regional variations of BBC 1. Does anyone have this working to control TV sound bar and sky? Was hoping one remote would do the lot and would have been sorted if the volume worked on first setup. Seems very strange that it has given different options the second time I set it up. Any help much appreciated.

Hi. Does anyone know why camera flash is not available when using wide camera. Works for standard and zoomed but option is locked when using wide. Seems stupid to me. I feel like Samsung need to totally overhaul the camera software. It is really starting to fall behind competitors. I have been using Samsung products for nearly 14 years but am starting to think I will make a more careful decision next time I need to make a purchase.

Seems as if Samsung has changed the offer and at some point when they realised they had messed up and didn't have the correct stock levels of buds available. I am assuming different customers have different terms and conditions. My offer section of the track my claim site clearly states white is the only option. Interesting that it says you will receive black buds. The offer said white and had no option to choose. Matching the phone is how I thought it should have been done. Are you in UK?

I agree that this needs to be changed. Camera does not seem like it is that good at the moment but could probably be improved with software updates.

I compared with a friends note 8 also running android pie and that had the options to change picture size in the settings. Is this a software issue s10+ or are they hidden somewhere else in a sub menu?

Hi. There is no option that says rear picture size. Only option I see is for video to set FHD or UHD and FPS.

Hi. On my old Galaxy phones there was always an option to change picture sizes for example 10 or 16 megapixels. Cant see anywhere with that option on S10+. Has anyone else found an option yet?

Hi. I have also traded in an old device. There is very little clear information about the return of the old device. The original order confirmation advised that the old device should be returned within 7 days of receipt of new device. After spending over 30 minutes with Samsung Live chat this appears to be incorrect. This was one of his responses. "What I meant is that, within 7 to 10 days after you receive your device, this envelope should be sent to you by MTR. If this not happens, you may contact them using this number 0333 207 9676 so that you can request for another returns package and to be informed with the situation." I got the impression he did not totally understand that it would be impossible to return the device within 7 days of receipt of the new one if this was the policy. I will certainly be trying to contact this company tomorrow to see what they have to say.

Hi. I'm also having an issue with this. I'm using a clear view cover and for some reason no notifications will show when using always on display. I have it set to always on because it doesn't support tap to display with cover. Always on display shows all notifications on always on display for my s7 edge using a cover. I think this needs to be updated via a software update because it's not very good in it's current form. I will be switching it off as only showing clock isn't that useful to me.

Hi. I have smart lock enabled for movement only on my S10+ and also have an official clear view case on it. When I put my phone down with the case closed I am under the impression that the screen should lock and then when I pick it up it should ask for my fingerprint. For some reason when I pick it up and open the cover it says unlocked with smart lock. The phone hasn't been moving so my understanding is that it should definitely be locked. Anyone else noticed similar issues with their case and smart lock.

Does anyone know how long the warranty is on this if I buy direct from Samsung. I see most other retailers are doing 5 years however I am considering buying this on the Samsung upgrade program. Also does anyone know if I buy it through upgrade program can I still claim the cashback promotion they have running at the moment. Thanks

The software appears to be up to date as I tried updating. Think it is 1170 but will check later. Not exactly sure on speaker. It is built into a Kaydian Maximus TV bed. It only has Bluetooth, headphone & red/white rca audio connections & belive Bluetooth is the only solution the connect to tv as no rca or headphone out on tv.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had looked in there. All that menu does is take you to a list of Bluetooth audio devices with pair & disconnect options. Other options in there seem to be for multi room speaker setups.

Hi. I have a Bluetooth speaker connected to my tv however the volume seems to max at a very low level. I can turn it much louder if I connect to my S7 edge. Does anyone know if there is a setting that can be adjusted on the TV to make Bluetooth audio output louder? Any help much appreciated.
