Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Video Playback Issue – Frustrating Glitch That Requires a Restart

I’ve been experiencing a frustrating issue with my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra where videos refuse to play in both browsers and apps. Whether it’s YouTube, Netflix, or even embedded videos in Chrome, they simply won’t load or start buffering endlessly. The only temporary fix? Restarting the phone—an inconvenience that shouldn’t be necessary on a flagship device.

This issue seems to be a recurring software glitch rather than a network problem, as my internet connection is stable. Clearing cache, updating apps, and tweaking settings haven’t provided a permanent fix. It’s disappointing to see such an advanced device struggle with something as basic as video playback. Samsung needs to address this with a software update as soon as possible. Until then, restarting remains the only workaround, which is far from ideal.

Has anyone else encountered this? Hopefully, Samsung is aware and working on a fix.

No problem with apps on my old A-series Samsung,  issues continue on S25. In my case, it is wifi issues

Was there ever a solution for this? Experiencing this problem now. Did all the suggested solutions (updates on phone and apps, cache partition, factory reset) and still experience issues. Restart fixes playback for a bit like you mentioned, but even then accessing videos or photos through apps like IG still doesn't work.

Had the phone for about 2 months and the issue started yesterday only thing different was turning on secure folder, which I uninstalled, to no avail.

My Galaxy S21 which I didn't trade in - no issues so it's not wifi related.

So, trying to figure out what to do now.
