Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Video Playback Issue – Frustrating Glitch That Requires a Restart

I’ve been experiencing a frustrating issue with my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra where videos refuse to play in both browsers and apps. Whether it’s YouTube, Netflix, or even embedded videos in Chrome, they simply won’t load or start buffering endlessly. The only temporary fix? Restarting the phone—an inconvenience that shouldn’t be necessary on a flagship device.

This issue seems to be a recurring software glitch rather than a network problem, as my internet connection is stable. Clearing cache, updating apps, and tweaking settings haven’t provided a permanent fix. It’s disappointing to see such an advanced device struggle with something as basic as video playback. Samsung needs to address this with a software update as soon as possible. Until then, restarting remains the only workaround, which is far from ideal.

Has anyone else encountered this? Hopefully, Samsung is aware and working on a fix.

Ive not personally experienced this. How odd.

Maybe try
Clear cache partition
Turn off the device.
Connect to a computer or plug in the USB-C cable.
- For headphones, press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key.
- When the Android logo displays, release all three - Press the Volume down key several times to keys highlight "wipe cache partition". -Press the Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight "yes," then press the Power key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, "Reboot system now" is highlighted. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Go to settings- general management- reset- Reset *mobile network settings
*Reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings.

*make sure phone isn't in low power mode/ battery saving.

Does this happen both on wifi and mobile data?

Out of curiosity to make sure this isn't a phone connection issues *even if the wifi network is fine. Try this;

Yes, this happens on WiFi and mobile data and the only way to make it work again is to restart the device.🙃

I'm having the same issue after updating one UI software last night. Videos won't load on all browsers even after clearing data/cache or restarting phone.

Yep, I'm having the exact same problem as well. I only purchased this phone a week ago. Incredibly frustrating and disappointing!

Try restarting the phone and reset settings. It can help temporarily but Samsung need to address with a permanent fix for this.
