S25 ultra battery life draining fast will it improve with updates or when my phone learns more about the usage but today I woke up and it went down like 50 percent in 5 hours for a 1300 phone this shouldn't be happening

When you first get a new phone it's in the "learning phase" and it gets to know your usage. Over time it learns and improves battery life.
I would say to go through your apps, especially location services and turning any off you're not using.
In settings you'll find battery- in there you can see what's draining your battery the most.
Finally, turn in "adaptive battery" as they may also help improve

Location services got about 4 on adaptive battery has been on since Friday since I've had the phone hopefully gets better after learning and samsung put some patches out to improve the device and not to drain apps so much

Maybe this helps for a comparison? How long mine estimates it'll last. Still early in the learning process so I expect it to change. Seems to be an increase compared to my last phone though. That being an s22 so I'd kinda expect an increase Screenshot_20250206_013221_Device care_1000015508_1738805552.png

My S24 U was better. I'm out of the learning phases on my S25U. It's not great.

@ben0754 the learning phase is around 14 days for the phone to learn your usage habits.

Also as the battery is new it will take a few charges and discharge cycles to reach optimum output.

Your Device Care Section under Battery will show which apps are using your battery. There is sleep and deep sleep mode to help control apps.

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Hey there

I'm certainly not seeing this on my S25 Ultra

Battery life is simply amazing and like everyone else still in learning phase.

78% battery has got me 15 hours plus of screen on time.....

Been about 5 days since I received my S25 Ultra and it's typically averaged around 10 to 11h screen on time on a full charge, until today. I managed to get around 13h and possibly more as I still had 13% left. It'll improve over time, just give it a week or so to settle.
