I purchased the new Samsung S25 Plus on February 9th and have encountered numerous problems since then. When the phone is left idle for more than 20 minutes, it becomes unusable—you can't make calls or send texts, although you can scroll through the phone normally. To restore functionality, I have to reboot it by turning it off and on again. After the reboot, I receive pop-ups and beeps notifying me of missed calls, messages, and emails.

I paid £999 for this phone, and I have contacted Samsung for assistance. They remotely accessed my phone to check all the settings and even provided a new SIM card, but the issue persists. I am hopeful that I will get my money back, but has anyone else experienced similar problems with the new S25 plus

Hi. I am sorry that you have problems with your new phone. However, none of those problems are normal, especially with such a capable phone that is a top end one and has improved CPU and the latest software. Have you bought it from the official Samsung store or from a third party retailer? Even if the diagnostics give a negative result, for certain there is something that is preventing your phone from functioning normally, either a software or a hardware issue and I think you should have it replaced.

They should definitely replace it, or you can make a request to return it because it's faulty, which is obvious. A phone this calibre should work faultless.

Hi @jplumber

My phone is the Ultra version however I haven't personally experienced this.

My apologies if you have tried these troubleshooting steps.

  • Try the sim card in another phone to see if the issue persists. i.e sim fault. Or network issue.
  • Try the sim in the secondary sim slot.
  • Reset the Network Settings via General Management > Reset.
  • There is a diagnostic tool found in the Samsung Members App.

If a phone is purchased from Samsung then there is a 14 day cooling off period.

After that they will only provide an assessment and repair via a Samsung Service Centre.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
