Hi, I have recently upgraded from a s23 ultra to the s25 ultra and everything seems to be a improvement over the s23 ultra except for the rubbish camera setup.

What has happened, is there anything I can do?

Before I had clear, crisp and bright photos for my work and now its more murky, blury in comparison. I thought this was to be the best there is... now, I'm worried that customers will complain, the standard camera modes are poor, the standard options are bad.

I will try the pro modes soon but, before I was happy with standard settings they gave, now it looks like I will have to keep changing things to take a similar photo as before.

Will they do anything to improve it?

Sorry to hear this problem you are having but the vast majority have found it is an improvement. I believe it has a new learning curve for the user to get used to, maybe set up the options as you prefer and set the camera to keep them every time you launch the camera. You could also try using a different camera app like the one from Moment and see if that works better for?

Hi and Welcome.

It's quite common for people to see a Jump between older devices and newer Samsung devices as Samsung is slowly changing certain stuff as belows

1. Screen improvements on Displaying colour etc.
2. Camera algorithms from punchier contrasting colour to more true to life and less contrast colours.
This is why most people coming older devices find it shockingly bad.

Things to try:

1. Display section: Make sure you are on 'Vivid' and crank it up if you need to.

2. Camera Section: You can use filters to do your own custom look.

I also prefer a -.3 exposure reduction to get a better picture as Samsung tends to over brighten pictures.

Play with hdr OFF and ON and see what takes your fancy.

Lots of other stuff you can play with and if not already download 'Camera Assistant' for more options. 😊

I watched a tiktok video and he also said to download the app. It let's you add 100x on home screen and default at 50 mp rather than the lowest 😊

Hi. I am sorry you have problems with your S25U phone camera, i found it thrilling tbh, a mile away from S24U. However, I realised there are a couple of bugs:
- macro mode seems to be on by default, if you have a bigger object in front of your camera the background will be blurry, the fix for this is to long press on the object or to remove the object from the camera
-zooming between lenses and bir slow
- blurry night pictures and motion pictures unless you keep your camera still for 3 or 4 seconds

You can download Camera Assistant, if you have not done so yet, it will help you to fix some of the issues.
Clear camera cache from Settings Menu- Apps

I cannot not see the possibility that maybe you have a faulty camera, it's worth sending feedback to Samsung via the Help page about it, also take your phone to a phone shop or a Samsung shop so you can compare with other phones and ask the staff to have a look at it.

Make sure your lenses are clean and there is no debris on them or inside the lenses.

Good luck!
