S25 Ultra Charging issues

Hello Samsung Team,

I purchased my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra about a month ago. During the first two weeks, my phone was charging perfectly fine. However, in the third week, I started facing two major issues related to charging:

1. Dust and Debris Warning

I constantly received a warning about dust and debris in the charging port, despite using the phone for only three weeks. This issue prevented me from charging my phone for 1–2 days, which was extremely frustrating. Eventually, the problem resolved itself, but then another, even more frustrating issue appeared.

This is the error when I am trying to use my phone.

2. Super Fast Charging Not Working After Update

After a recent software update, my Super Fast Charging feature stopped working. My phone now only supports normal charging, even when using a 45W charger with a 5A cable.

I have tried unplugging and replugging the charger multiple times, but the issue persists. Due to this, charging my phone up to 80% (due to Maximum Battery Protection) takes significantly longer, which is frustrating.

Super Fast Charging Option Disappeared from Settings

Before the update, I could enable or disable Super Fast Charging in Settings > Battery > Charging. However, after the update, this option has completely disappeared from the settings menu. Many users in the community are reporting similar charging issues after the update.

Samsung, please acknowledge and resolve this issue as soon as possible by pushing a fix in an upcoming update. This is a serious inconvenience, and we need a solution urgently.

Looking forward to a response and fix soon.
Thank you.

There is no option called Super Fast Charging after the update.

Hi, I have the exact same issues with the S25 ultra that is also very recent (a few weeks old).

Both for the dust/water warning and the super fast charging.

At the beginning the phone used to charge much faster than now. And now at times, I can only use the wireless charging because of the dust/water warning message. It depends on the day...

Let me know if you found a solution, it is really annoying indeed

Not sure if others found different solutions, but I came across this post, and so far it's been working fine for me:

My device displays a water drop icon and will not charge | Samsung Caribbean

--> Check the clear USB cache section.

Although it's probably too early to assess if it really works on the long run, it did the trick so far for me:

- The dust/water warning is gone, so I can charge with a cable again.

- The super fast speed has also been back (in actual charging time), although the "super fast" toggle buttle has not re-appeared. But that could be intentional with the update and not a bother to me as long as the actual super fast charging speed is possible again.

Hope that helps.

The issue with the charger slow charging is also present with a 240 watt cable and a 140 watt anker charger. My Chinese Volts Pro 53 watt scam charger is the only charger that fast charges my S25 Ultra phone at 45 watts. None of my other high wattage chargers will 45 watt charge the phone. These chargers include Dell 65 watt chargers, Lenovo 45 watt, and Mac 80 watt.

Is this still an issue? My phone keeps stopping and starting the charging, and it only seems to happen with my official 45W charger. I have changed the cable from the official Samsung cable (included with the 45W charger) to an Anker cable that also supports 5A charging, and the issue persists. My phone even overheated once while charging, even though I wasn't using it and it was in a cold environment on a cold table.

As of my phone right now using the one ui 8 beta, it seems to still do the same.

With the s25 series a good rule is never use a 5a cable unless the phone says "super fast charging" without the 2.0 next to it, in that case the 5a cable will make 2.0 start working. The phone can charge in 2 modes and when 5a cables are used, it usually picks the worse mode for some reason.

Unfortunately incurred the same issue this week.

Ended up taking my device to Assurion to have it fixed, four hours later the tech ends up telling me that… The charging port was damaged however it could not be determined if it was by water or moisture of any kind, they ended up replacing it through the warranty and saved me 150 bucks. I funnily enough bought this device the day you posted this, and if I had seen it prior, I may of just stuck with Apple unfortunately.
