On your Samsung Galaxy S25, @Hmartins, the default swipe-up-from-the-bottom gesture is designed to open the Home screen. However, if you prefer this gesture to launch a specific app of your choice, you can achieve this customisation using Samsung's Good Lock app and its NavStar module.

To Customise the Bottom Swipe Gesture to Open a Specific App

  1. Install Good Lock and NavStar:

    • Download the Good Lock app from the Galaxy Store.

    • Within Good Lock, navigate to the "Make up" tab and install the NavStar module.

  2. Enable Extra Gesture Settings:

    • Open the NavStar app.

    • Toggle on the "Enable extra gesture settings" option.

  3. Configure Navigation Bar Settings:

    • Go to Settings > Display > Navigation bar.

    • Select "Swipe gestures" and tap on "More options".

    • Choose "Swipe from bottom" as your preferred gesture.

  4. Assign the Bottom Swipe Gesture to an App:

    • In the "More options" menu, look for the option to assign a specific app to the bottom swipe gesture.

    • Select the app you wish to open when performing the bottom swipe gesture.

Please note that the availability of these options may vary based on your device's software version and region. If you encounter any limitations or if certain features are not accessible, it's advisable to check for software updates or consult Samsung support for further assistance.

By following these steps, you can customise the bottom swipe gesture on your Galaxy S25 to open your preferred app, enhancing your device's navigation to suit your personal preferences.

Thank you so much for your reply @AsadM .

This is what I have in More Options. Don't seem to have those options you mentioned in step 4😔!

I am in France, I would have thought I would have the same as you in the UK!

@Hmartins: As a workaround, if Goodlock is missing the option, you can assign the Side button to open a specific app. To do so, head to Setting > Advanced features > Side button > Double press > On > Open app > Tap the cog to the right > Tap on the relevant app.

@AndrewL I have already assigned the side button. My problem is with the swipe from the bottom gestures!

Why not leave the bottom gesture just for the Home page and use the One Hand Operation+ module from Good Lock to have many more options.

Let me explain.  I have One Hand Operation+ configured on my screen with six different gestures.  I can swipe from either side and swipe at an angle up, an angle down, or sideways and each swipe invokes another app.

A sideways swipe going up from the left side of the screen brings up, in my case, YouTube.  A left sideways swipe brings up Spotify.  A downward sideways swipe from the left, brings up Good Lock.
I have three other swipes for the other side of the screen.

Those are a good idea @davehorne but I have those assigned already. And I wanted more options for the swiping from the bottom.

@You also lack the options to reassign the bottom gestures as per my screenshot?
