Anyone else noticed their battery draining super fast after the update. It's 2:pm UK time and usually I'm on 80%. At work indont use my phone and it's gone down to 50% already?
Any solutions ???

Oh I know this all too well. I use it simply as an "easier" method of conveying my point across. Unfortunately Android does a terrible job of breaking down the "full" range of our batteries usage and simplifies it to app usage numbers, so trying to express the other usage patterns in an objective manner is impossible. I did mention my active usage of all the connectivity and UI settings however, to give a more accurate picture and breakdown. My point here was simply to show, the update did not negatively impact overall battery drain, at least from a general overall usage perspective. Some apps may suffer though and can/may be affected, but these will typically require some app update to correct it if this is the case.

Not sure if you have used ios, apples battery analytics are false , they even include background tasks such home screen and settings in their screen on time. It gives a false indicator and people think apple sot is great. Dont get me wrong it is still good but not as good what they show in their battery usage charts.

Yet to see any phone which splits the usage what i discussed above such as Bluetooth hotspot etc usage.

I think it's a technical issue that could require more power usage, as to why we don't see a far more comprehensive battery usage statistics screen, but that's just my guess.

If you're curious, for me, Bluetooth is always active with my S25 Ultra since I keep my Watch 6 connected and occasionally use my Buds 3.

I know SoT isn't a fullproof method of battery efficiency but as a general rule, I've always stuck to this metric as a sign of a decent running battery. If I can achieve at least 1%/h of screen off idle drain (just Bluetooth connection like a watch) and a 10%/h SoT drain in active usage, I'm satisfied it's functioning as expected.

I have the S25 Ultra — since the recent update, has anyone else noticed their battery draining faster? I’m assuming it’s due to the update.

So I have noticed , that if I keep battery saving mode off but enable adaptive power saving my device no longer heats up even when playing games or on YouTube , but the downside is my battery runs down very quick almost twice as fast as it was when I first got the device ,Samsung seems to be getting worth with those updates lately hopefully they fix those bugs soon

Hey there!

There have been hundreds of reports of excessive battery drain and overheating, affecting multiple brands like Samsung, Pixel, iPhone, Nothing, OnePlus, and others.

The issue is not caused by the phones or system updates, but by the Instagram app itself, as discussed here:

So I have found a fix that has worked for me. So if you go on to developer options , and go down near the bottom and turn off background process limit and set it to no background processes and right after I did that the temperature has went right now and batter seems so much better as well and my phone still work the same and now I only lost 3% of my battery overnight so a fix for now hope it helps with anyone having the same issue

Glad that solution worked for you!

Just a quick note. Experiment with caution. Developer options are intended for developers, and changing the wrong setting can cause unexpected behavior or instability. Always research a setting before changing it to understand its potential impact.

I've seen too many reports of glitches and problems, and it turns out they are due to users experimenting with developer options. Helpful to some but not without flaws

I get what you mean I've used this option for many years tho and I never touch anything I don't know what its for I only use a couple of options on the developer option but it's a fix for now so was just trying to help others with the same issue until Samsung fixes the bug
