Whis bright idea was it lengthen it to 6 digits rather than 4?

This is utter utter BS by Samsung, bring it back to 4 digits rather than 6, I'm sick of this 💩

Hi and warm welcome 👋

1. type 6 digits
2. You'll see the option "confirm pin without typing ok".
3. Select this option
4. Delete the last 2 digits
5. Click Continue
6. Re-type the 4 digits
7. Ok

Or lockscreen and AOD > screen lock type > enter pin> pin > enter pin > should see option "confirm pin without OK" press on it> enter the new pin1738797819086.jpg

Surprised you use a pin when the fingerprint reader is so good, that combined with face unlock ...the pattern unlock is surely more convenient than a pin

Doesn't work on either the S23 Ultra or S25 Ultra

Point is that with 4 digits you didn't have to press ok to unlock the phone, Samsung removed this, and now you need a 6 digits pin to get the option to confirm the pin with out tapping ok, I mean talk about going backwards, it's the same when they removed the 3 gestures at the bottom of the screen

They removed that years ago, why complain now?

Also if you just have to press OK after 4 numbers, why make a 6 pin if you only need 5 presses with 4?

If I'm honest I don't even know when Samsung auto unlocked after a 4 pin input and I'm talking about phones as far back as the S8+ 8 years ago.

Because I use the same passcode for the previous phone for the new phone I get, and its not as easy to remeber a new passcode, and they removed it in the last UI update

Also for some of us, it was easier to enter a 4 digits passcode and for it to unlock without having to press the ok to unlock the phone, now they're just coping Apple as their iPhone auto unlock after a 6 digits passcode.

So why change something that a lot of users didn't ask for

It's nothing new I've seen. You need to press OK after pin entry on all Samsung devices, at least all the ones I've used in the last 8 years.

Not on the S21+ and then on the S23 Ultra, which both had the option to confirm the pin without tapping ok after entering a 4 digit passcode, until the UI 6.1.1 update, also the A22 5G has this option as well
