The list of thrown away features from One UI 6.1 goes longer than the list of new features added in One UI 7.0.
New features:
• Widgets can be added anywhere in the lockscreen and AoD.
• More than 4 widgets can be added on Lockscreen and not limited to tiny box
• Freely movable favorite apps
• Stickers
AND THATS IT!
Thrown away features from One UI 6.1:
• Double tapping widgets on AoD to interact with got removed
• The Super fast charging message can't be moved and gets cut off by the now bar and doesn't change by dragging the Help text at the bottom of the Lockscreen.
• AoD brightness slider removed!! 😭😱😢
• No more color on the notification icons, icons can't be dragged anywhere as well and just white color only! Some notification icons refuse to show a white color icon at the top left corner and look very awkward while other ones are white.
• Lockstar widgets doesn't reload automatically after phone restarts. Lockstar needs to be opened manually to reload the widget contents. • Lockstar widget contents update extremely slowly and stops updating after 1 day of device up time.
• The main clock brightness is significantly higher than the widget brightness on AoD!
The word 'update' is used to mean adding newer features besides the old ones! It doesn't mean mass replacing old features with a handful of new ones! With that said, it is an overall downgrading experience to me even though the new features have well been appreciated.
