Whis bright idea was it lengthen it to 6 digits rather than 4?

This is utter utter BS by Samsung, bring it back to 4 digits rather than 6, I'm sick of this 💩

OK that's strange, just never seen that on any of my Samsung devices before, S8+, Note 10+ 5G, S20/S21/S22/S23/S24/25 Ultras, Tab A 10.1, Tab S 7+, Tab S8 Ultra.

I must have missed it tbh, but it is a little oversight from Samsung I guess. Hopefully if enough people mention it to the software team, they may bring it back, hopefully make it more prominent too as I never even realised it had it after years.

Bro because you haven't seen it, doesn't mean it wasn't there, it was removed for the s25...

@DarthSmoggie does the solution work or not that has been suggested as it has been accepted as the solution  ?

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I saw a reddit thread that said if you select (highlight) the last two (of six) digits and hit delete and continue simultaneously, you can get it to accept 4 digits without OK. I haven't managed to be that coordinated yet, but a lot of people have said that it worked for them.

Would be a lot nicer if we could just stick with 4 without OK. To all those saying why not just use 6 - because I don't want to and have no need to. Hush.

okay, I got it to work. 4 digit pin without OK! these are the same instructions, but apparently reading them somewhere else helped me 😕

1. enter a 6-digit PIN in Set new PIN, where the first 4 digits are your actual PIN, so that the field appears with the check mark for "Confirm without PIN"
2. remove the tick and set it again (!)
3. delete the last two digits of the 6-digit PIN and press "Next" very quickly (must be done really quickly!)
4. confirm the 4-digit PIN
5. that's it: unlocking now works without OK. If not, you were not quick enough in step 3 or forgot step 2!

*note - use next (the forward arrow), instead of Continue. Hit delete and then hit next very, very quickly.

Has anyone else managed to confirm pin without pressing ok on the lock screen? It has the option to do this for 6 digits, but no longer for a 4 digit pin. I had it on my s24 ultra so I'm guessing it's been removed on the s25 ultra??🤔😕
