3G and G2 are no longer available with Virgin Media and O2 so will be pushed to find it working anywhere, even in the US and Australia don't use that now.
In the UK if you don't use a smart meter for your electricity system they're a notice being given out to either switch to a smart meter or have a new electric meter installed as the 2G that uses them is being switched off in July.
