The new Google Messages app is not receiving or sending sms/mms mesages, only rcs. How do i fix?

I purchased the S25 ultra yesterday and the new Google Messages app is not receiving or sending sms/mms mesages, only rcs. How do i fix?

I can take and receive calls on my network but not sms/mms

Welcome to the community forum.

Open Messages App, tap the circle with your initial, Tap Messages settings, RCS chats (toggle on/off)

If toggle on, you also have the option 'Automatically resend as a text (SMS/MMS), to send SMS/MMS if RCS cannot be delivered (toggle on/off)

If this fails then have the network provider resend the config
