25 Ultra notifications not waking screen or popping up when received

It seems like there is a software issue.  I've adjusted all settings and when my phone screen is off, notifications don't wake up the screen.  Regardless if the phone screen is off or I'm using it, notifications don't pop up.  Any solutions or is this a patch fix to come?

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community!

Settings > Lock screen and AOD > Always On Display > Toggle this on > When to show > For new notifications. This will activate the Always On Display, and leave the notification icons visible until you unlock the device

Enabling the, for new notifications setting from tap, fixed the pop ups for when the screen is on and unlocked, but not when the screen is off and locked.  The screen will turn on now when it's locked but not display the new notification unless I click the power button.

I'm having the same issue, but it seems to be a one UI7 thing. You used to be able to tap on the app icons when customising the wallpaper, but the function is not there. Hopefully it will be sorted in a future update

Mine come through momentarily as a pop up at the top of the display and I hear my message tone @NickEnvy

That's the only way as of now. Even I was facing the same issue and resolved it by this method only.

There are many more such issues. Like secure folder issue. Creates 2 apps. One secure other not. Like why?? Just put a lock on that app. Simple.

These notifications are also grouped in a ways that you only see 1 notification till you expand it.

JUST got the Galaxy S25 ULTRA and I am missing out on SO many notifications. I hear a sound and NOTHING.... NO preview.... I just upgraded from a S21 Note. I USED get a screen light up with a message at the top and I could glance at it, and see if it was worth responding to. SAMSUNG, WHY does my screen not even LIGHT UP anymore? Let alone, telling the phone id like a preview of the notification/text message that I receive!!!  I feel like I traded in a 5 year old phone, for one with LESS visual AOD functionality than this new phone I bought 3 weeks ago, Aug. of 2025. CAN YOU PLEASE fix this.... I need to send my S21 in THIS week, and I am REALLY wondering if I should... I moderate, I NEEEEEED to know when my channel is going live, I NEEEED to see a preview of TEXT messages ( wife is disabled) to know if its worth my time to open the phone! ITS INSANE this is an issue 5 years later from my old phone...... ALL of the settings that should ALLOW all the things I DONT GET are turned on......... NONE work. 1 THOUSAND, 2 HUNDRED $ PHONE! Lest get this fixed.... Unacceptable! I dont want to move to iPhone, after almost 18years of Samsung after first smart phone being an iPhone...THEN I jumped to Samsung Android... but if the ***** iPhone works, Ill JUMP! PLEASE FIX!!!!
