Why did Samsung block changing system fonts via the restore method?

On my S21U I was able to change my system font using the backup and restore trick.

They seem to have blocked this on the latest oneUI update which is annoying because
A. The store doesn't have the font I want.
B. The fonts across the OS are inconsistent.

Is there any way we could post a vote for Samsung to allow us to change fonts or make it easier for people to upload to the store?

Thanks

Not a vote, but you could send this as feedback via the Samsung Members App @MrBoi

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I have always been able to change fonts through the settings app. What do you mean by the back up and restore method?

I assume they mean SmartSwitch or a similar recovery method.

Hi @MrBoi

It could be that something fell through the cracks or simply some incompatibility issues. The fact the font is not in the store any longer, could indicate a compatibility issue, security or any other technical reason. It could also be that it is not maintained.

Anyway, @BandOfBrothers' suggestion is a good shout. Send some feedback via the Samsung Members app and they might get back to you with a reason as to why it is not there or bring it back if it was removed by accident.
