Welcome to the Forum.
Please can you advise what charger you are using? 15w, 25w, 45w etc?
Up to a point, that is what determines your charging speed.

Same concept with 25w and so forth.
S24 supports up to 25w charging.
S24+ and Ultra 45w.
Maximum charging speed for the cable that came with S24 is 25w I believe.

Hi @Marnie151
To enjoy fast / Super fast charging then the chosen powerbrick will determine that as indicated by @Piper123 , as well will the chosen cable.
I use o2 Payg which works fine in my phone. I attain full signal in most places, and typically stay on 4G+
However obviously different regions will affect this.
"Phones do not latch onto the strongest signal. They follow the network assigned procedure, hence why it's not uncommon to be connected to a weaker signal than is strictly available "
Try putting your sim card into the alternative sim slot.
And if needed reset the network settings in General Management under Reset.
There is a diagnostic test tool found in your Samsung Members App.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Hi @Marnie151
As mentioned by @Piper123 and @BandOfBrothers the wattage of the charger is very important for fast charging. If the charger is an old one "Adaptive Fast Charging" might be relative to its release time. It will mean very little unless you have information on its wattage.
Out of curiosity, how long does it take to charge? What does "slow" mean?
I am with O2 as well, but I have a S24 Ultra. Signal reception is very poor. I am thinking that there is some software issue. The phone reports to get 5G, but I cannot open any webpage or make WhatsApp calls. I tend to blame the network, but the phone might be having some issues on that front.

My general point is that when I first got the A20e, the charging was superbly fast. On an old charger (which I dumped). Then it suddenly started charging more slowly (same charger). So I bought a new charger. No difference. Because of this slow charging (which I put down to an old and possibly deteriorating battery), the fact that it was cutting out regularly when I used same charger cable to connect to my laptop, and the pretty awful camera on it, I decided to fork out more than I ever have done before on a new phone! Camera on this one is great. Tick. But surely we should be moving forwards on charging matters, not backwards.
I get what you're all saying about the charger/cable and I will look into that further. Thanks.
I got the 'basic' S24 because it's abilities are plenty for my purposes (and John Lewis had it at £300 off!). If I'd known that another model would charge faster then I would have considered that, but I really didn't want to pay more than the £500 I paid for a new phone. I bet they only cost a fraction of that to produce!
JL are excellent,so next time I'm at a branch, I'll pop into their 'technical corner' and talk to someone. Maybe it will boil down to paying a few more £ to get something that charges faster. Or maybe not.
But how can this be right that this shiny, new and expensive Samsung is so much slower than my ancient one? It doesn't make any sense to me!
I hope I'm making sense though!!

Do you have fast charging enabled? Settings -> Battery -> Charging settings -> Fast charging is toggle on.
You could also check that there's no other settings that might slow the process.
