At Samsung.

Please just add a time based charging option.

The options available are rubbish. Doesn't work for me.

Automatically at pattern doesn't seem to understand anything. Even after a few months of usage.

Phone charge to 100% most of the time at recently it even looks like it doesn't even discharge to 95% percent anymore.

Way before the morning.

At least Sony did understand it 6 years ago and listened to their customers.

It just slow charge to 90% kept it there and topped off at your set time exactly. So about one hour before it started charging again.

Just add an option you can set a time for starting this cycle like 10pm and when you want 100% at what time. Like 8am 100%. Or better you also can set 80/90/95% as maximum. Just personal preferences.

Can't be that hard right?

Sony battery worked fine after 6 years usage and many charges.

XZ2 compact

Only replaced it because it was getting outdated. And unfortunately they didn't have a good follow-up.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

And where is Sony now?

Their customers didn't need to buy a phone every 2 years. 😉

But indeed they could do different. They didn't bother their phone market too much.

Pass this along again, please. I want a wireless charging phone case, but I need actual control over when my phone charges. I only want it to start charging when the battery drops below 15%, but the current battery protection settings are way too limited, and there’s no app workaround. We need full control over minimum and maximum charging thresholds, plus the ability to set specific times when the device can charge itself.

I’ve stuck with Android and Samsung for almost a decade because of the customization. I left Apple exactly because of arbitrary limitations and restrictions.

But if Samsung keeps removing, neglecting, or overlooking basic features—especially ones as critical as battery health and charging controls—then a yearly $1,000+ investment isn’t worth it, and neither is the massive ad spend on your end. I have no problem switching to a non-premium device from another brand that actually gives users control.

And if you need more input, tell the team that I want to be able to completely screw up my experience if I don’t know what I’m doing. If I set my charging threshold to a minimum of 5% and a max of 10%, that’s my problem. Either I have a reason for it, or I’m so tech-illiterate that I shouldn’t be using Android in the first place.

Just put all these advanced settings in a toggle menu like Developer Options. That way, people who just need a basic phone never have to worry about messing something up, and those of us who actually know what we’re doing can use our devices to their full potential.

Forgive me if i sound rude in my wording, but this is actually a really big deal for my age range when it comes to the internet, computers, and just technology in general. Learning is easy and fluid when you can make mistakes. The worst that can happen is you need to factory reset the phone and then learn what that function is used for. Telling your phone not to charge no matter what until its at 10% may seem crazy, but its the option i need if i even want to consider buying a charging phone case, or any of your own wired/wireless charging peripherals that my device will be connected to for extended periods of time. I have the option to not charge when I connect to my PC so it doesnt destroy my battery for 8 hours at work, so why not the wall or a power bank?

Theyre seemingly making quality phones at a modest price that im seriously considering switching to actually. I've never been a camera/video guy before, but I love to dabble in tons of hobbies, and native 4K at 120FPS with 500+ gigs of storage would start me at the entry level sprinting for less than half the price of a new samsung device. Plus, it seems SONY is sticking to what people like about their devices and not trying to cater to every demographic which I admire quite a bit, for a soulless profit seeking company that cares only about financial gain of course. Samsung hasnt seemed to care too much about their products for about 3 phones now.
