Weird diagonal lines on the S24 Ultra

When the brightness on the Galaxy S24 Ultra is around 25% or lower there are diagonal lines displayed on the screen, mainly grey/black colours and sometimes on other colours. I have attached pictures where you can barely see the lines. I have gone through support and they were unable to sort this problem.

You should send it back and get another one. I've also swapped mine and I think the problem is gone

On this screenshot of a yt vid of a youtuber reviewing the s24u (who said their screen is fine), you can see the black at the edge of their screen is black. On mine, it's grey and murky, as you can hopefully see by this screenshot.

Yes, I was trying to avoid it, but I think there's too many problems with mine. Was hoping a sw update would fix it, but who knows how long I'll have to wait. Hopefully, if I get replaced, it's from a different batch, as I've heard this problem is related to build no AWM9.

If turn on full brightness and pull down the notification panel you can see the background of the notification panel is grainy.  This is different than the s23 ultra.  

Also the reds can never be like the s23 ultra.  I tried doing the contrast and the red saturation.  It's definately different.  

I'm torn the screen doesn't have a lot of reflection and it's very fast.   The width is bigger than the s23 ultra for sure.    I'm thinking if I should return it.

I ran into this as well, but this is actually a "feature" which you can disable. Go to settings/Display/Eye Comfort Shield/Disabled Enhanced Comfort. In my case this was the thing causing it.

Ok thanks, I asked around a little bit and nobody knows anything really, even the people who handle this for showcases told me they didn't see this issue on any of the units, so it might be just an unlucky batch. I am going to visit samsung repair center so they can have a look (it's close to the place I bought it anyway so I would go past it anyway). Definitely going to replace it tho, thanks for the update.

I think this would be worth it's own thread as it's a different issue. But just on the colors etc. it seems this might be a SW issue as some have pointed out the natural/vivid toggle does nothing, so it might be just that something broke in this pre-release build. I consider it prerelease as the official launch is at the end of the month so as long as they fix it before that I think we can say it's fine. If you can wait I would wait until then to see if they patch the stuff up.

Nope makes no difference, still weird inky flickering at the side. I've arranged for an exchange. I'm a bit dubious though, because I've ordered the same colour from the same carrier and I bet my replacement may come from the same batch.

I know it's off topic, but is anyone else's video player app not on their new phone? I'm wondering if that's a bug with mine, or if Samsung has removed it?

Is it completely gone? Mine is pretty bad with the lines and Samsung are saying I have to send this phone back in order to get a replacement, which doesn't help me as I traded in my S22U for this sack of s***.

Both my S23 Ultra and my S24 Ultra exhibit this issue. The S24U has a diagonal pattern while the S23U has a square one:
