I just got the S24 Ultra and the Samsung video player icon is nowhere to be found. I had never had this issue before. The app is installed but it doesn't appear either on the home screen or the app drawer. This is very frustrating!!

I'm also facing the same issue. Do let me know if your issue has been resolved

It's there, however it's not allowing the ability to move it among my other apps. Please add step-by-step instructions in the form of screen shots so that we can see exactly where you're going. Some of us need a visual aid.

Also, according to https://galaxystore.samsung.com/prepost/000007365014, the app is "incompatible" with the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G. This is absolutely frustrating. Having to watch a video through any other means is extremely inconvenient for those, who like myself, rely in the app. Samsung must fix this.

S24 Ultra has no app icon, which is really messed up! You have to find videos in your gallery app now.

I hate the changes in the S24U  including the changes to sticker editing in the photo editor!

UPDATE:

Still no app icon (and I have been emailing) but in the meantime, I have saved my own video icon to my home screen via the Gallery. It is the best I could do for now (see pics)

  • I have been emailing Samsung about this. Maybe we all should.

Details are in the store in the video player overview (see pic)

Apparently the app has gone EoS. I downloaded the apk and this message popped up:

I was running into the same issue looking everywhere for video player even though it automatically plays my videos. But I found a short fix. If you still have your old phone that uses video player with the icon. Long press the icon and go to details. If it shows the app original app store location you can press it and there should be the option to view app details in store. I was lucky I transferred all my Google play accounts. It easily located my z flip and downloaded to it in seconds. Hope this helps

Indeed, I found the app on the old device, and was able to transfer it to the new device using cross-device sharing. However, after the app was installed on the new device, it works but crashes after a few seconds.
