Problem on S24 Ultra, the cable is working fine but not on my S24 Ultra...
I managed to get it to work but it's disabled every time I disconnect my phone...
How I temporarily fixed the issue :
Enter usb settings menu *#0808# (set on MTP).
Changed it to PTP and rebooted the phone, cable still plugged in.
Miracle, my computer now sees the phone... but in PTP mode.
I go back to the menu and change it back to MTP... WHILE SMARTSWITCH IS LAUNCHED on my computer.
Surprisingly no reboot needed and then, it asks me for PERMISSION.. granted and now sees the phone as a Media...
Except when I unplugged the cable and plugged it back in, it's once again recognized as charging only.
I have to change again to PTP and reboot... etc.
So it not a cable issue, I guess the smartswitch thing is a bug discovered by chance, but some security stuff is blocking the connection.
Do you have any idea what I could disable ?
Or maybe Samsung please do something.

Settings/Security and privacy/ Auto Blocker / Maximum protection / set it to OFF.

Thanks for your help!
Autoblocker is and was already turned off, I don't think it was ever turned on.
Also I tried it on my laptop but same result.
Other than that, there is small progress :
- I set "DEFAULT USB configuration " to MTP, then I rebooted the phone with usb cable connected. As soon as the phone restarted my PC detected the phone for a split second then nothing...
After restarting phone again, nothing happens anymore.
- Then I tried to also activate "Usb Debugging" and after rebooting the phone, it is detected by my PC but... as soon as I unplug the phone and plug it back in, it's not detected anymore.
So I have to reboot the phone every time.. awesome.
I'm starting to regret buying a Samsung...
If you have any other ideas be my guest 😢

try this link, this is almost exactly what i said with one little difference, installing Samsung drives on your windows machine which might be necessary in your case

Thanks but sadly it does not appear in device manager (except if I reboot phone).
And it does recognize the phone after reboot, so the driver is already installed.
It just seems something is forcing the phone in charging only mode, just like Autoblocker would do, but can't disable it.

I had same problem, turns out i changed the top option, where u can select to use the phone or the device its connected to, to using the phone. VCHaning it back to the connected device finally popped up the internal storage.
