wireless charging with treadmill issue

the treadmills at the gym have wireless charging.
i'm trying to charge my samsung s24 with it.
what happens when i put the phone on the treadmill is the following:
wireless charging activates for about 10 seconds then stops.
what is the cause of this?
have tried without a case with the same problem.
have tried with several different treadmills with the same problem.

It's the treadmill it's not supported so that's why it probably declines to charge up the s24 or any other devices

This could very much be down to contact. Being gym equipment, they are normally badly made for this sort of feature (especially generic brands like Techno). Is your case blocking it? Does it have the metal ring to allow passthrough? Could also just be shoddy equipment. If your phone works normally on other wireless chargers, then it's the machine.

Stopping after 10 seconds will be due to it being in the wrong place, moving, or the charger not being strong enough.

@lg461 have a word with the Gym staff to ask and look to see if other patrons of the gym are successfully charging up their phones.
