Just regarding upgrading to a new device samsung push out 2 new phones each year lol I'm currently using S23 ultra which I find a great phone you can get 3/5 years out of phone including updates so I won't be upgrading to a new phone I will wait for the S27 for the sake of a few extra functions, am I bothered about the back case showing finger marks on my s23 which is inside a case don't think so lol. so the extra you get with the s24 Ai will eventually come over to the s23 and 22 series so rather silly upgrading every 5 mins my thoughts only, reviews so far on the S24 compared to the s23 are not great the only people who are onto a winner is samsung taking everyones money twice a year lol.

I agree, the stock camera app is not as good as it should be on release date, but after a few updates, the app is very good.

I took some selfies in portrait mode and it had good detail. I could see individual hairs. The photo mode did not produce great detail. Samsung should get the stock camera app to a very high level of performance on release date. I might be wrong, but most users are not photographers, either as a hobby or pro, and point and shoot photo mode will be the most used. Having amazing pictures from the first day would be an excellent way of promoting the phone. If it were up to me, the default mode should be bloody good.

Some people take the camera capabilities very seriously, but it is good to put things in perspective. Phone cameras has come a long way, and I am amazed at the quality of some pictures taken with phones. However, a good lens could cost twice as much as the phone, so the phone is doing pretty good.

No one is forcing you to upgrade?

Samsung release new phones regularly because most people are on 24 or 36 month contracts, so upgrade on that cycle. A S24 is a big upgrade from a S22 or S21 that they'd be upgrading from.

It is interesting the video, thanks for that. There are differences between the standard colour and the exclusive colour. The grey phone has Android Auto and touch issues, but not the orange one.

I ordered the blue 1TB and my Android Auto is working perfectly fine with a VW, which is one the car brands with issues. I have not noticed any lag on touches.

I think that despite the firmware version being the same for both, they are not same firmware. I wonder if the those phones which were built to order had a firmware which included some changes in the code that went into the built of their firmware. I assume that there was at the very least 3 or 4 weeks built-gap between the phones that were ready for pre-order and those that were delayed.

You're welcome & I didn't know the standard colours have different software to the exclusive colours, interesting.

Just to be clear, I am saying that they have different software. I think they might have, because I cannot explain why the two "identical" devices have these differences. It seems that those issues have been present on standard colours which were delivered early.

All of this, it is very much speculation on my part.
